Then have the Packers and Chargers before the bye, they will be tough games, at least we get the Packers before it gets cold in Green bay. After the bye we get the Dolphins and Lions, both winnable. Then have Raiders, Chiefs, Jets and Chargers. A tough strecth. Followed by Vikings, Bears, Pats and Bills, another tough strecth. Before we finish against the Bills. So as of now I think we can win at least 8 games, but it will be tough going. We need to beat our division rivials though.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-33280830773302573492011-04-19T16:37:47.671-07:002011-04-19T16:37:47.671-07:002011 schedule is out. D...Off Miller now, went back and watched some tape. Does come across as that one trick pony, uses his speed to run passed tackles, most of the time can't turn the corner as the Tackle forces Miller around the edge, leads him passed the pocket. A lot of his sacks have him unblocked or running right passed tackles (which won't happen in the NFL). Does struggle when a tackle gets their hands on him, doesn't have the strength or pass rushing moves to beat tackles (this will be even harder at the next level). Could mean he is better suited to a 4-3 SAM that covers more than rushers.

Above that last statement does it for me. Miller is a better Athlete than Matthews and Weatherspoon. But he isn't a better football player. The comparison to Gholston seems more likely to me. Miller like Gholston uses his speed and athletic ability to beat tackles to the edge. This doesn't translate to the pro game. Will be interesting to see what becomes of Miller, but as of now I am down on him.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-59430065898519369202011-04-17T23:45:13.009-07:002011-04-17T23:45:13.009-07:00The Plot thickens:

Gholston was drafted sixth overall by the New York Jets in 2008, but failed to record a sack in 42 games, and was later released. In regards to Miller, Razzano stated: "In looking at Big-12 tape, he does not have a motor. He doesn't chase hard. They run at him, and he doesn't fight off blockers. When he gets sacks, a lot of times he's not getting blocked. He's a one-move guy."[30] During the Texas A&M Pro Day, however, one scout compared him to Hall of Famer Derrick Thomas, while Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer compared him to Cardinals linebacker Joey Porter.[2] NFL Network Analyst Mike Mayock, who rated Miller as the second-best player in the draft, stated that Miller reminds him of a smaller version of DeMarcus Ware.[31] Miller's then-personal trainer, Dan Brandenburg, who also worked with first round picks Clay Matthews III and Sean Weatherspoon, stated Miller is the best athlete of all threeGouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-66183182909854518952011-04-17T23:25:45.372-07:002011-04-17T23:25:45.372-07:00Quick thought, how about Miller 2nd# and Wilson 36...Quick thought, how about Miller 2nd# and Wilson 36#? Then watching highlights of Watt vs TCU Watt completely dominated Cannon, he beat him to corner all the time and even knocked Cannon over a few times. That is what said to me that Cannon will need to be a guard at the next level.

As for Fox's LBs I know they are smaller, his SAMs are still smaller but they still have a lot of bulk to them. Bulk I think Carter doesn't have. Plus if you look past the starters on the Panthers they have a number of back ups that are over 6'3.

And that was my plan, Mays and Matthews fight it out, Matthews I think will win. And if he doesn't play very good then go after Burflict or Te'o next year.

I also have a feeling at least one DT falls to 46, with so many QBs and good players going at the end of the 1st and the start of the 2nd there will be a number of trades, I think one DT falls through the cracks.

And Digger go for it, have a field day haha.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-7275723033642161042011-04-17T10:22:47.395-07:002011-04-17T10:22:47.395-07:00Do you mind if I steal a bunch of your players and...Do you mind if I steal a bunch of your players and rumble with the gang at MHR?Diggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15394649158738484529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-81968968647217944312011-04-17T10:17:57.188-07:002011-04-17T10:17:57.188-07:00Oh yeah. Remember, I did like him, about two months ago. His size is very impressionable. Same with Solder. Fox did draft one of those guys last year (a guy I liked then too) at Carolina, Vladmer Duccasse.

Remember Fox doesn't need his LBs to be as big as some HCs do. Carter has lots of speed to play Sam. Wilson has speed too though and is taller and bigger to cover TEs. Wilson at Sam is good choice. It also helps me feel more at ease with the neck issue because he won't be slamming into the hole like a MLB needs to do. Play Mays there for now and Matthews when he's ready to take over. If Matthews does not look like the answer we can always address it again next year.

Yeah the summary at the end helped a bunch. There is much talk about who will be there and who won't. It's all heresay right now. If you think we can wait till 46 to get a DT then so be it. I'm just to chicken to rely on Paea or Austin will still being there at 46.Diggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15394649158738484529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-90423218059840205822011-04-16T21:04:46.268-07:002011-04-16T21:04:46.268-07:00Also anyone that thinks Marcus Cannon can play RT ...Also anyone that thinks Marcus Cannon can play RT is a nut job haha.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-77613619800957161262011-04-16T21:03:05.771-07:002011-04-16T21:03:05.771-07:00As for MHR, my rumblings probably don't belong...As for MHR, my rumblings probably don't belong there haha.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-85433509530669584682011-04-16T20:59:06.342-07:002011-04-16T20:59:06.342-07:00Haha Sorry digger, I did try to summarize it at th...Haha Sorry digger, I did try to summarize it at the end so it made more sense.

And yes finished doing the prospect articles.

I could have used the 39# pick I had to take Austin and trade the 46, but I did it this way to pick up some extra late picks.

I would prefer Wilson over Carter, Carter has talent but lacks that killer instinct that I think Wilson has. Plus I see Carter as more of a Weakside LB then Strong, lacks the bulk for me. Also I am hoping Wilson's neck is sweet as, plus since he played all of last year it may be ok. If he falls in the draft you will know why and that was because of his neck.

So a combination of either Carter, Wilson and Austin is good.Gouldinator1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14512639910101830045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8161328106437706233.post-14160036501320324672011-04-16T09:00:01.121-07:002011-04-16T09:00:01.121-07:00Here it is.
