DOOM REMAINS A BRONCO


It has FINALLY arrived my friends, Elvis Dumervil has agreed to a contract extension with the mighty Denver Broncos!!!!!!!

The full details of the contract have not yet been released as of late Thursday night, however, nfl.com is reporting it is a 6-year deal, $61.5 million with 41-43 million if it guaranteed. If those are the details, Doom is most definitely deserving of it.

He handled this whole thing is such class & respect and I have nothing but respect for the guy for not putting his ego in front of what is most important... his family & job. It will most certainly pay off for him in the long run.

Congrats to Doom and we'll see you at training camp!!

Now, next question is who will be the next one to ink a deal with the one and only Denver Broncos?? We have plenty of rookies on our hands who are without contract, who do you think will be next in line?

Update:  Doom signed a five-year, $58.332 million contract extension. On top of the $3.168 million salary Dumervil was already going to make this season, his contract stretches to six years and $61.5 million. Is a very similar deal to what Suggs got last year.

    So time for some math:

    So this year Doom will make $3.168 million dollars. So he will make $58.332 million over 5 years. Which is about $11.6664 million dollars a year. But it will be averaged out over the 5 years.

    So then over the 5 years he will make maybe,
    7 mil 1st year
    9 mil 2nd year
    11 mil 3rd year
    14 mil 4th year
    17 mil 5th year

    Looking at that, I think we overpaid for Doom. I have nothing against Doom but he isn't the completed OLB like some of the others. Great to have him on the team and I hope he develops into one of those guys. But if he makes under 10 sacks this year I will be greatly disappointed.

    Also surprised how quick this deal got done. It took Kuper over two months for his deal. And it took Doom just over a month, like 40 days.

    It also looks like Oslen signed a 4 year deal with the Broncos, 2010: $395,000, 2011: $480,000, 2012: $565,000, I believe.

    You little schmuck!! lol I'll let it slide this time Aussie... nah, its fine. I just didn't expect to see a different picture, doesn't surprise me though that you did that. As for the deal Doom got... it is a lot of money but he'll be worth it. And honestly, I'd rather have a more experienced player make that money than just handing it to a rookie. Tebow will most likely get a huge deal and he hasn't even played in one NFL game. I like him but he doesn't deserve a big amount of money like that... he's got to earn it like everyone else should. Anyway, who knows what they'll do with these rookies contracts, I just hope they don't overpay them for something they haven't done yet. Doom proved himself last season and I definitely think he can match his success or better yet out-do himself.

    Haha funny princess, yeah I think Tebow's deal could be interesting since he is a Qb taken late in the first and he could have gone in some of the later rounds so his worth could be a little hard to work out.

    Also I think it will be funny that Knowshon will make more money then Tebow.

    Right now things are going pretty good and i like our direction McDaniels is sending the Denver Broncos. I cant wait for the season. And that is really awesome Aussie, i want that middle name! haha. And just wondering, but who is Jon Heath?

    Well it is official now (at least according to DB)... Olsen has a signed. yeah, yeah, I know they are always late on this kind of news... heck, any news for that matter. lol Can't wait for the rookies to get inked. Should be any day now.

    I also saw some pretty sad news on nfl.com. Bill Cowher's wife died today from skin cancer. Sad stuff. My prayers go out to him and his family. Just thought I'd mention it.

    That is a funny pic of Doom going after Butler... too bad we don't play Chicago this year. Oh well, Doom will make up for that punk when we buries Rivers this year. That will be a sight I can hardly wait to see. haha He'll slap that stupid smirk off his face in no time. Too funny.

    And I read that story on DP about Bay-Bay & his mom & grandma... that is some deep stuff. Amazing he got through all that and is making something of himself. I really hope he can be the WR we need on the field, certainly there's no question about his off the field behavior. All-around good guy. Everyone should read that story.

    Yeah I'm with ya 80... Bay-Bay's troubling story will have a happy ending. I really think he'll be a solid replacement for Marshall and we'll be better off having picked him in the draft instead of Bryant. But now that I've read that story, I have to come up with yet another idea for an article on here. I was just starting to write something on Thomas and then I read that and thought what's the point, by now everyone has read this, why read it twice?? lol So I'm gonna have to pick another rookie or something else to write about. I know I said I was gonna do an article about the teams we play this season but I just wasn't feelin' it... wasn't really into writing it. Don't know why though? Anyway, give me some ideas about an article that I could write that most of you don't really know about. I thought about doing one on Floyd Little since he'll be a Hall of Famer but we all know his story and I already did something about him last year. I know I did. I'm thinking I'll do a pre-game article before each game (even preseason). And if I end up at some of the TC practices, I'm sure I'll have something to write about there. lol

    Oh and I like the little widget, looks good.

    As for articles? I already did Tebow and you don't need to do Thomas. So you could pick any of the other rookies. Maybe Decker? Or do an article about the stories and potential of our late round picks?

    Or maybe do an article on the history of Doom leading about to his new deal. The history of the sack master?

    Or on Brady Quinn maybe? Or Wink the D coach?

Make him look even more stupid than he does already... that way when we bury his butt in 2 different games this season I can laugh and cheer on Doom (or whoever gets him) AND a really bad pic of him with no hair. I have nothing against bald guys... it looks good on some... only so few guys can pull it off. Rivers ain't one of them. But that's okay, just confirms what all of Broncos Country already knows... he's a you-know-what. haha I can't get that picture out of my head - I can't stop laughing at it. What a dork.
