Hey guys thought I would stop in and drop a quick update. And check out the results from the poll that I have been running for a month leading up to the start of the combine.
Well the public have spoken and the results from the poll are as follows. For what direction we want the Broncos to go in for Free Agency and the Draft is as you can see below:
Defensive Lineman
Quarter Back
Linebacker
Offensive Line
So those are the areas and the order in which the Fans want the Broncos to look at improving the team in the off-season.
Now speaking of the off-season I have been working on a thing called Aussie's Big Board. It is a list with details and information of players that I think, and from the help of other bloggers, that the Broncos should be looking at in the draft. I will finish it up over the combine with the attention information from that and will post it up after the combine and before the start of Free Agency, so keep your eye out for that. Well that is it from me ~ Aussie Out.

Good post Aussie.
ReplyDeleteWhat is up everybody? Long time no see. Sorry I have been gone so long, I've been posting at DB.
So what is everyones take on this next season?
Hey florio, it has been quiet around here, #80 and doc pop in every now and then, so do the others. And yeah I have seen you on DB alot, been posting there as well.
ReplyDeleteAs for the season, who knows, but we need an NT.
Mos def. NT is our number one priority. I strongly disagree with Bryant and McClain picks most people have us at. I don't think those are our top needs.
ReplyDeleteYep totally agree, Bryant is an idiot and I think McClain is too slow.
ReplyDeleteRB Jordon and C Casey were cut today by the team.
ReplyDeleteWell, the interesting offseason begins with what I think is a big mistake letting Wiegmann go but letting Jordan go was WAY overdue. Looks like there's still a glimmer of hope for Marshall remaining a Bronco. Interested to see how that fiasco plays out. Still say, if they let him go, they're idiots... cuz who knows what kind of "downgrade" they'll replace him with. Have mercy.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back here florio and I saw TRB was on the previous post on here. Finally got a bit of a break from school, believe it or not. Can't wait to read that next article you have planned Aussie. Sounds like it will be very interesting.
I think Casey is old and too small for our system, great guy just not for us, probably end up in Washington.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah princess the article is MASSIVE! It has a lot of information from a lot of different sources and has multiple views on players. Could be very useful.
cant wait to look at your new article, ill be lookin out for it.
ReplyDeletei think we would of eventually let Wieggman go, but i think we should of waited to see what center we get in the draft or FA. Now we need to get a good center or were screwed, Casey could of been a solid BU also.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but he wasn't very good this year and was on the decline, we have two guys on the practice and reserve teams so they could be answers, Seth Oslen maybe? Who knows, I still like Pouncey.
ReplyDeleteHi ya.
ReplyDelete80, the good news is a C is in place or, like you said it would be foolish to cut him. I don't know who for sure, but I know it would not have been done without a surefire plan in place. I do know Olsen was taking snaps and we picked up Frye. The subliminal message to me was we don't need Pouncey. Which is good because we have many needs.
Well we thought that when McD picked up lots of RB in FA but he still drafted one at 12th overall.
ReplyDeleteDamn this big board thing is hugh! already 6,500 words, 8 pages long and I even haven't added the combine stuff. Will be alot of reading.
ReplyDeleteLOL, and you all think I write too much. HA!! That's going to be a lot to read at once. You should try splitting it up into sections. Won't be easy doing that with what you're writing about but I wouldn't even post something that long. You should save the combine stuff for a seperate piece. See if you can make the whole thing like my 50th anniversary articles... split it up into 3 parts or however many.
ReplyDeleteI would hope that McD and Co. have a new C in mind to replace Wiegmann but like Aussie said, we all thought the same thing with last year's RB situation. I hope he learns from this past season and screw everything up again. He's young and new at the HC thing (and this is no excuse for him) but that's the only reason I'm cutting him some slack. It was bound to happen that he'd make some mistakes but he overdid it with an 8-8 ending, AGAIN!! This year better be different or we do need a new HC.
like i said Aussie cant wait to read it, i dont care how u post, 1 whole thing or in sections dont matter to me, just wanna read it.
ReplyDeleteI think Seth Olsen will become a starter next season, probably at guard, or maybe center like u said.
ReplyDeleteAnyone on?
ReplyDeleteGuess not Florio, I hope Olsen pans out, look like a solid player. And #80 it will be good.
ReplyDeleteAnd Princess I am thinking of ways to cut it down.
I figured, just thought I'd say it. Can't wait to read it either. Sounds really interesting. Will be even more interesting to see how it all plays out. I think Olsen would be a good replacement at center. Strong and solid.
ReplyDeleteJust bored at school... 3 hours of literally nothing to do. Somebody save me!!! lol Oh, I also saw that our coaching staff is finally complete with the hiring of coaching assistant Brian Callahan. Hope this staff does a heck of a lot better this season. I cannot take another 8-8 season. grrrrr
And I guess tomorrow morning we'll find out if Jacksonville or Denver will get 10th or 11th in the draft. woo hoo!! :p

ReplyDeleteAnd maybe its just me doing some wishful thinking but Trindon Holliday would be an awesome player for us to pick up cause we'd then have a bullet for a returner and could then let Royal focus more on being a solid WR. One can only dream. I like Royal as a returner but he's a WR guy and if there's any chance that we lose Marshall before the season, I want to know we at least have #19 taking the reigns. But more importantly we need to fix our D-line. That should be our top priority.
ReplyDeleteAlright, I'm done ranting. Just bored silly. Later dudes
I like Trindon Holliday to Princess, if we cant get Dexter Mccluster, then Holliday could be a good prototype of him.
ReplyDeleteoh and Holliday is suppose to go in the really late rounds because if his size, hes like 5'5" and 165 pds.. People are sayin he will go in the like the 6th and 7th round. He could be a great pick.
ReplyDeleteOh ok Holliday haven't heard of him before, will have to research him and add him to the Big Board. And the combine starts soon. Just mearsurements and interviews today.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you watch the combine interview with Tebow you can stil see his old motion. Watch when he is explaining the hitch and drop backs. When he goes to throw he has that lower side arm action. He is doing it subconsciously so he may do that during games.
Holliday already has said he predicts he'll run a 4.23 . Beat Chris Johnson for the combine record.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to see us go after Holliday. He could be awesome in our system, considering our system will get cleaned up a bit... ahem, McD, ahem!! lol And he may be shorter than most guys but that's his trick to being fast and practically invisible to defensemen. He'd be like a "you blink, you miss him" kind of player. haha
ReplyDeleteI don't think McD drafts him or Dexter as he wants to be the shortest person in dove valley. He likes tall players to compensate for his own height problems. jokes
ReplyDeleteMan, Holliday looks fast in the videos and he runs a 10 sec 100m.
