Ok everyone this is the post for the competition submission of your mock drafts. You have up to the start of the draft that is 7:30 est of draft day to submit. Any submission after that will not be accepted. You can submit as much as you want in the comments but it will be your LAST submission that I take. So one entry per person. Also if you update multiple times can you delete the older comments, it will just make it easier for me.
Well that is it, good luck and have fun ~ Aussie Out!
Recap of the rules and notes:
The first part is as follows, for each team in the 1st round you need to pick the player that you think that team will pick. Now we are not going to worry about what position that pick is. For example 11th Broncos McClain, we are not worried about the 11th position but the player that is picked. So if you think the Broncos will pick McClain put down Broncos McClain. You need to pick the player that will go to that team. For each correct pick you will get a point.
The second part is you need to pick the draft of the Broncos. Now this could be a little hard. You can pick the draft as it is with the current picks. Or if you want predict the trades you think that will happen, for example Scheffler still needs to move. If you pick the right player with a pick from a trade that could be the difference between winning and losing. Correct picks of players and in the right ROUND will give you 1 point. Correct pick of player but in the wrong round will only be half a point. The blogger with the most points from both parts will win the title of Broncos Blog Draft Guru (BBDG)!
Changes and Updates will be allowed leading up to the draft. But the day before draft the submission will be closed and no updates or changes will be accepted. I will post up the winner on here with an analysis of the points for each blogger that participate. Also some digression will be taken when marking picks so as to be as fair as possible.
I will get the last mock draft submitted by each person and use that to give you points. As grandmaster of the competition I will get to make that decision so try to be clear and I will be as fair as possible. Each person's results will be able to be view though so you can see the results I will post them up for every one.
And the winner is the most points in total from the 2 parts if you didn't get that.
Also was thinking, if you are game enough predict a trade for a player. I am feeling the Broncos trade a 5th to the Pats for adalius thomas. I Haven't put that in my mock but I am thinking about it. If you are game to do as such and you are right I will award that person 2 points.
To make this easier I will award points on the player. If you think we will get Thomas for example put him down. I will not take into account what pick is traded for him. If you guess the correct player two points, but you have to be game and it could change your mock draft completely. Good Luck.
This is an Example not official:
1st. Jared Odrick (shocker)
1st. Maurkice Pouncey (trade a 2nd and a 3rd, 45 and one from the moving back trade, and maybe Scheffler, feeling Cincinnati)
2nd. Terrance Cody (trade next years first)
2nd. Toby Gerhart (at 43)
3rd. Sean Lee
4th. Danario Alexander
5th. Trade for Adalius Thomas
6th. Erik Cook
7th. Trinidon Holliday
I don't mind if your part 1 and part 2 don't line up. But if you get it right in one and wrong in the other you will have to live with that.
Do I get extra points for consecutive picks right? As for the extra points, the answer is no. One pick, one point. But if you say something like, trade back into the 25 range for someone. If that player and team is right 1 point and they do take him at 25, I may award another half a point.
Well do it as long as I can understand what has happened then it shouldn't be a problem.
