ReplyDeleteLOL funny thing is I followed Manly right up to the first Optus Cup final, just after they did away with the Winfield Cup. In 2000 I started following Brisbane and have done ever since. The Warriors is a NZ thing. But I must admit I have been really slcak over the last couple of years.

ReplyDeleteYeah that was a shock loss... when the Broncos came onto the scene it was huge news!!! An actual QLD side took the NSW comp on. Their finals record is unheard of! I think its 7 Grand Final appearances and 7 wins.. or it might be 6.
ReplyDeleteThink it is 7, because they had a great coach in Wayne. But also some of the best players to come out of Queensland.
ReplyDeleteI hated when they changed the SOO rules. You had to born in QLD to play for them and then it changed to where you played your first First grade game.. The King, Langer, the Walters brothers, Bella, Backo, Miles, Renouf... awesome players
ReplyDeleteThe rules are stupid, they have NZ that live in Australia they whole live, played for NSW or QLD rep teams when they were young and choose to play for NZ and now can't play SOO, dumb. And Australians play for NZ if your grandma's brother married one or something. is dumb.
