Well guys so this post took so long, been getting railed at uni, just of assignments none stop, same next week. But I found a little time to put this post together and update you on what has been going on.
First would be the great news of Simms being cut, we are all very happy to see this as Simms could not get it done. But he is a top block and has had it hard, he may catch on with another team that needs Qb help.
There is all the stuff about Brady Quinn coming to town. The back lash of Hillis going as the fans loved him.
The Broncos have worked out a few guys and plan to work out more. They have worked out Matt Tennant and Gerhart later this month.
There has been a lot of rumors or ideas of a Brandon Marshall trade, now you can add Dallas to that list as was reported on ESPN.com.
Other News that has some buzz, Kevin Curtis was cut today, what about him to Denver?
Andra Davis signed with the Bills and so did Dwan Edwards that we were looking at.
Also Marcus Thomas was a no show at the off season program he is working out to get in better shape. After the end of last season he was a bit down on his play and ballooned out to 336 pounds from his 326 playing weight, he hopes to get to 292 before showing up at off season workouts so he can play DE. It says he is very close.
And DJ Williams will be a no show as well, he is staying in Miami to work out with Doom, he has informed the Broncos of his decision and everything seems ok there.
Finally Brandon Spikes run the 40 at his pro day at over 5 secs, let me put this in perspective, my grandmother with her a-frame could have done a faster 40. Anyone that says a two down ILB at most, goes in the 2nd round or higher is crazy.
That is it from me ~ Aussie Out.

Funny stuff aussie. Can't wait for the season to start!
ReplyDeleteMe neither it just seems so far away, I want to see what we do in the draft first.
ReplyDeleteYeah thats REALLY SLOW for a ILB in the NFL. I know OT Bruce Cambell and Trent Williams ran faster times at the combine.
ReplyDeleteBruce Cambell is a freak!!! I've never seen some one that big move that smoothly that quickly. He is like big foot combined with Usain bolt, Barry Sanders and Jennifer Aniston.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we are looking at ILB now that Haggan is moving inside. So don't worry that much about the possibility of Spikes. I might have a better 40 time then Brandon Spikes. Lol
ReplyDeletehaha I know I have a better 40 than spikes, I like Sean Lee though. But he is just like larsen. Oh and Bruce Campbell is a freak. Some NT ran faster than Spikes. He just blow himself alot of money, 3rd round or later now.
ReplyDeleteI know i have a faster 40. My fastest time ever was 4.76, but that was last year in the summer. I timed about 2 weeks ago and i ran about a 4.81, wasnt able to break 4.8. Once it starts getting warmer 40 times improve, so ill be looking for about a 4.7 right before football season starts.
ReplyDeletei could run a 3.9.........if i felt like it.
ReplyDeleteDang 80 you got some wing on those shoes. Lol
ReplyDeleteI'm in the 5.1-5.3 range
hey chris
ReplyDeletesup Florio.
ReplyDeleteJoey Porter signed with the Cardinals
i saw that. he got quite a bit of cash.
ReplyDeleteWay to much cash. I'm happy we didn't sign him. He's not an every down OLB anymore and demanded way to much money
ReplyDeleteyeah......dude, im trying to set this blog up. gosh its such a pain.
ReplyDeleteyep, they are a pain. Its not lookin to bad so far. just needs some decorations.
ReplyDeletethat what im working on. im taking advantage of my photoshop and creating a back ground.
ReplyDeleteNice nice. whats the background gonna look like?
ReplyDeletefootballs, routes, stuff
ReplyDeleteSo what do you think of Whitehurst goin to the Seahawks?
ReplyDeleteLOL if they wanna pay a guy that hasn't thrown a ball that much money they can have him
ReplyDeletehttp://espn.go.com/action/bmx/gallery?id=4998524
ReplyDeleteplus they gave up some draft picks to go along with the lucraive deal they gave him
ReplyDeletemaybe they are planning on using him more
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if he was starting
ReplyDeletei think pete is waiting for his USC qb
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't count on that.
ReplyDelete" But is better known for his physics defying neck beard "...LMAO ------->
ReplyDeletelol i hope quinn works out. i cant stand orton
ReplyDeleteYep, I haven't seen a beautiful deep throw in over a year. I hope Quinn brings that.
ReplyDeleteI hope he can atleast stay on two feet after some one bumps into him
ReplyDeleteI also hope he can move around outside the pocket on playaction
ReplyDeleteOh love the neckbeard, too funny, and the league is taking risks on players in the hope they work out, but who knows. I like Quinn and so does princess hehe, I really think he could win the starting job.
ReplyDeleteI'm confident he will. McD went after him last year. Obviously he thinks Quinn can win games for him.
ReplyDeletei think he will win. Every player he brings in he assumes they will start. He brought in Simms thinking he would start and he brought in orton thinking he will start. Its what keeps it competitive.
ReplyDeleteFlorio, same thing with Buckhalter and Reid
ReplyDeleteyeah that what keeps things interesting
ReplyDeleteWats up guys. Joey Porter was paid to much, hes declining. After watching some videos of Rolando Mcclain i am less impressed, his form tackling is terrible and he just seems like a slow person on the field, kinda lazy maybe. Since i dont want Spikes either I am now hoping for ILB Pat Angerer from Iowa in the draft, hopefully in the 4th round.
ReplyDeleteim telling you pay the raiders our first pick and get morrison. he is better than all the MLB's in the draft
ReplyDeleteOh and about my 40 time Doc, I have worked really hard on that the past 2 years. Alot of sweat and hard work. I started at a 5.0 flat the beginning of my freshman year and have been developing my speed ever since, I have to if i ever have chance to play cornerback at the college level. Hopefully by my senior year ill be running in the low 4.6s.
ReplyDeletethat could be a good option, but a doubt anybody wants to make contact with the raiders. lol
ReplyDeleteits better than a shot in the dark with the draft
ReplyDeleteOr we would just see how Mario Haggan does this year and wait till next year to draft a ILB
ReplyDeletethat means ayers needs to step up, or we get graham.
ReplyDeleteAyers does need to step up. I hope he does good
ReplyDeleteI much as i would like to think Haggan is ready to start and do a better job than Davis did at ILB, im not sure. Im not even sure thats the Broncos plans for Haggan, i think that was a rumor spread by a analyst maybe, but who knows.
ReplyDeleteDerrick Harvey, Chris Williams, Branden Albert, Gosder Cherilus, Duane Brown, Antoine Cason, Kentwan Balmer
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard of any of these guys? No cheating, don't google them. Just yes or no.
Derrick Harvey: Yes
ReplyDeleteChris Williams: Sounds familiar
Branden Albert: Yes
Gosder Cherilus: No
Duane Brown: No
Antoine Cason: Yes
Kentwan Balmer: Yes
whats their connection?
ReplyDeleteDerrick Harvey: DE for Jaguars
ReplyDeleteAlbert: O-lineman for Chiefs
Cason: CB for San Diego
all 1st round picks in 2008
ReplyDeleteAnd your point?
ReplyDeletei just think its bizarre that two years ago its all the analyst could talk about and now nobody knows their names.
ReplyDeleteI knew albert, cason and williams
So who's Chris Williams?
ReplyDeletejay's blindside now.
ReplyDeleteYes I know who he is, he's from Vandy
ReplyDeleteBrady Quinn:
ReplyDeletePros: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJgmeEH1lrE
Cons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OfGpCngwbk
I love the picture of Peyton Hillis stiff-arming Kirk Morrison in the background. I'm going to miss that guy

ReplyDeleteHey dude what is the link to the website for?
ReplyDeleteHey Aussie
ReplyDeleteGood to come here and get some updates. How's the new site coming? Is it going to be the same kind of blog DD was doing? He had lots of problems with viruses and stuff. Darn near wrecked his computer. He quit at Fan Huddle now because of it.
Peace. Keep up the good work.
May that sucks for DD, yeah I heard about the viruses, but he was running an old system. The new site I haven't had much time to look at as I have been really busy with school, but I will get to it. And it will be similar to this one, but I little better I hope. We will try it and see.
ReplyDeletethat is a new football discussion blog. it just launched.
