Sh*t yes! Not long now, can't wait for some football.
ReplyDeleteYou betcha G. It's just around the corner now. I'm anxious to see the rest of the moves EFX has in store. There are many speculations on the future moves, but I'll just wait for the real thing.
ReplyDeleteHey do you know anything about the fantasy football thing we did last year? I think you had Tebow right? It's a keeper league right?
It is on as long as the football season is on, and yes it is a keeper league. Haha, I drafted tebow and used gouldy's man crush on tebow to get the trade I wanted, too bad I didn't doas well this past year. i will renew it now I guess.
ReplyDeleteBut G has Tebow now right?
ReplyDeletehe does indeed
ReplyDeleteAnd he gets to keep hom for a 13th rounder. I wonder if everyone will return to the league for year #3
ReplyDeleteHaha yes i do, this has been I cunning plan on my part, my team last year wasn't great so I have been building for the future. Tebow will be my starter and this lets me target wr and rbs in the early rounds haha, lucky me, now tebow better start.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Keep Orton! Keep Orton!
ReplyDeleteNo really, good luck Aussie. If Tebow does well for you, the Broncos are doing well and I'll be happy.
My plan was the Broncos get DeAngelo Willams so I picked him up. Now I kind of hope he doesn't become a Bronco.
Haha digger, yeah if tebow does well I will be very happy.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah Williams to the broncos would be good, but Invesco has become the home of the disappearing running backs, so Williams may not be good for your fantasy team.

I know. Saw that. Hope it's true. Football news could return soon.
ReplyDeleteI rejoined in FF. I am now the D back in Denver instead of McBroncos.
ReplyDeleteI think my keepers will be Matt Ryan and Dallas Clark. Not a positive on that though yet Jazzy.
Yeah, don't rush it, no pressure to make keeper selections. I am not sure yet myself. I am keeping L. McCoy for sure but I have options for my other keeper. Big Ben for a 10th sounds nice though.
ReplyDeleteHow did you rejoin? I haven't got any emails?
ReplyDeleteWell I will keep Tebow but I will have to review my team before I make a decision on who else to keep. Isn't there a link for that, I can't remember how we did it last time?
That does sound nice for Big Ben.
Check your yahoo email, every owner from last season should have gotten an email
ReplyDeleteYeah I did and I haven't got an email??? Is there a way to send me the request specifically??
ReplyDeletei can try, hold on
ReplyDeletemy league account says one email sent to gouldinator1@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteFound it was in the spam folder.
ReplyDeleteBack baby! all registered and primed to go. Plus if we need an extra player Princess can always fill in :P
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteWhere's the thing to review previous rosters?
ReplyDeleteFigured it out, did you know I picked Ryan Matthews over Chris Johnson last year? Stupid automatic selection.
ReplyDeleteMay go Tebow and Maclin again, Maclin will cost me a 9th right?
ReplyDeleteI think so G. You kept him last year for a 10th so this it should be a 9th. Tebow and Maclin for a 9th and 13th, not bad. I'll be getting Ryan and Clark for a 7th and 13th.
ReplyDeletegouldy, you didn't choose ryan matthews over chris johnson, if you look at the draft results, johnson was a keeper selection, playmaker selected him in the 2nd round 2 drafts ago and got to keep him for his first round pick last year. And Dalas Clark was a 5th round pick last year so you would keep him and give up a 4th this year if you pick him. And Matt Ryan would cost you a 7th.
ReplyDeleteLucky that is good, felt like a retard before now not so much haha. So do get Maclin for a 9th then? And Dallas for a 4th may be a bit rich.
ReplyDeleteNo. That's only if I got Clark in a trade. I didn't, I got him as FA.
ReplyDeleteThe free agency pick up rule is only applied to players who were not drafted, but scooped up in the free agency pool. Good examples would be Vick and Hillis, they weren't drafted but were picked up during the season. All players who were drafted are kept based on where they were drafted. So what I did was I made a keeper draft sheet, with all my players who I would want to consider keeping. Two I have on my sheet are Austin Collie and Matt Stafford, both whom I got from free agency, but if i keep collie he cost me a 9th or stafford is a 10th. Hope that makes sense, and sorry for the confusion.
ReplyDeleteYeah Digger but Dallas was selected in the 5th round by Playmaker7, so he would be worth a 4th, I believe. If he was an undrafted player then he would cost the 15th I assume.
ReplyDeleteAn example from our first keeper draft was Michael Crabtree. He was drafted by flyingspidermonkeys, and when he held out for a better contract for half the season, he was dropped and later picked up by G squad in FA. Last year G squad kept Crabtree for his 9th round pick based on flyingspidermonkeys 09 draft pick in the 10th, not based on the free agency 13th round rule. Just an example of the same situation in last years draft so that you know I am not making up new rules.
ReplyDeletehey gouldy,
ReplyDeletehow do you respond to the comments so fast? Do you get a notification when new comments are posted???
Oh, and yes you do get to keep maclin for a 9th, which is great value. But remember, since you kept him last year, this is the last year you can keep him hostage on your team, you may keep a player twice, and then he goes back to the pool.
ReplyDeleteHaha no just refresh this page a lot, as not doing much haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah Maclin is great value for that. Plus I think this is the last real year of production out of him. I think this will be the last year the eagles make a push for the superbowl led by vick. I have a feeling that Vick only has another good season in him before he tanks, but I could be wrong.
I am digging some the new features for fantasy on yahoo for this year. What if we did a draft where we were allowed to trade draft picks???
ReplyDeleteOh yeah interesting, that would be cool, means you can target guys you want, it could be something we throw out there. I like it gives more options, but I doubt many people go for it. So yeah ok.
ReplyDeleteTrading picks would be cool. Is there a trade value chart for that? Haha. When do we know where we draft at?
ReplyDeleteI think I will still do Clark for a 4th. I don't kniow yet.
haha, google it, that would be cool if there was a trade value chart for ff. And the draft order is reversed from the final standings for last year. so you pick 6th, I pick 5th, and gouldy picks 3rd.
ReplyDeleteNice 3rd I like that. So who are the top 3? Out of AP, Chris Johnson and Andre Johnson who should I pick?
ReplyDeletedepends on who falls to you. I am a big andre fan, but I think jamal charles might also have to be in the mix if i pick 3rd.
ReplyDeleteconsidering that arian foster will surely be kept, we will see who is available
ReplyDeleteWell I think I will get a shot at least a few of those guys. The question is with Maclin and Tebow already on my team, do I go say WR Johnson in the first and look for decent RBs later as they are a dime a dozen, or since I have a good WR in Maclin already do I go RB (AP, CJ, JC) in the first and then WR in the second.
ReplyDeleteSo many options, yet not sure what I should do, maybe I flip a coin haha.
