  1. Update:
Running back Correll Buckhalter has been ruled out of the game because of a high ankle sprain he injured last week against Dallas. Buckhalter didn’t practice all week. The injury could affect Buckhalter’s chances of playing on Monday Night Football on Oct. 19 at San Diego.

Buckhalter is Denver’s starting running back and he is averaging a stunning 7.2 yards a carry. Denver rookie Knowshon Moreno will start in Buckhalter’s absence. Expect Moreno to get at least 20 carries against New England as Denver tries to control the game on the ground. Running back Peyton Hillis will likely also play extensively.

Meanwhile, Denver safety Brian Dawkins is listed as questionable to play Sunday. He has knee and shoulder injuries. He practiced Friday for the first time this week.

Will Brady challenge Bailey? The first postseason loss of the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era in New England came at the hands of Champ Bailey in January 2006. Brady challenged Bailey in the end zone with the Patriots driving. Bailey made a beautiful play on Brady’s eyes and intercepted the ball, bringing it all the way back to the New England 1-yard line. It set up a pivotal touchdown for Denver, and was Bailey’s signature play. It will be interesting to see if Brady is gun shy from the memory. Bailey’s recent tape won’t help. He perfectly defended two Tony Romo passes in the end zone in the final 9 seconds of Denver’s 17-10 win over Dallas on Sunday.

  2. Great news on Moreno!!!

The loss of Bucky is not good, but the likes of Hillis and Jordan should keep those legs fresh. The Running game will be so important to keep the Pats defence on thier toes.

I'll never forget that Bailey INT, was a great day to take off work! lol

  3. Told you this one would come down to a field goal difference. I knew this would be a close game. This is probably one of the best games I have seen.

  4. wooooooohoooooooooo!!!!!!! 5-0 Baby, HELLLL YAHHHHHH!!!!! That was a good game. Have we shut everybody up now or is there still doubt in the DENVER BRONCOS? Were for real this year and have a great team. Our Defense proved there #1 again this week against one of the best if not best pass offense in the NFL. Champ shut Moss down. They could only complete the underneatth routes to Welker. There running game was shut down. ALso Orton was mistake free. Only had that pick because he had to give his guys a chance before half. Lovin my BRONCOS right now! Orton had a great game spreading the ball to both of our top 2 recivers, Royal and Marshall. Lets go get them Dolts next week.

  8. WOWIE!!!! 5-0 and going strong. Don't know about any of you but I am loving every second of this. We have so much still to work on but we have changed in one major aspect... we fight till the very end. In previous seasons, we used to give up at times b/c we were ahead or they didn't think they could pull off the win. It's one thing to be underestimated by other people but to do it to yourself... that's even worse. McDenver has instilled complete devotion in our players to not give up. Every game is a battle to be fought till that clock says 0:00. We are getting better with each game, this next one though is a MUST win. I want nothing more than to see us hand SD a win on their own turf on MNF on national TV. That team gets my blood boiling, plus we need to get further ahead of them in the West. We've beat 2 of the media's favorite teams... let's go get #3!! I'll be one happy little girl over here!

  9. Also, soooooooooooo proud of BMarsh. I love that interview, I love how he's become more mellow. He will have a fantastic career if he stays that way and stays with Denver. His talent on the field is 100% unmatchable. Keep rockin' and a rollin' Marshall and you'll surpass your own expectations!!
