2011 Draft Competition Results - BBDG

For 2011 the Broncos Blog Draft Guru (BBDG) will be Digger and Myself. Another year another draw. It was a fun comp and was an interesting draft process. I was happy with what the Broncos did in the draft but was a little disappointed that we passed up so much young defensive tackle players. It was nice to get some youth and speed on the defense after years where we past it up.

Also been thinking that we need to include an overtime or tie breaker rule so that we don't have ties in this competition but can't figure out a solid solution to that problem that can work everytime. Something to discuss I guess.

Oh well on to the table of results and showing what we know about the draft, we did, well terrible, but it was fun. Both myself and Jazzy competely missed on Broncos picks and didn't score in the second part of the competition. Digger of course picked up 3 points in the second part of the competition, so great job to him. Here is to the Broncos in 2011.

  4. Though we may have sucked at drafting we did show improvement. Digger you got 3 1/2 last year and I got 4. So we improved our scores to 6. This being Jazzy's first year he got 3 so that fits with what we expect from previous results.

  5. Nice job Jazzy. You actually came really close to getting top 5 right.
    G
Next year you could make more scoring. That would reduce the chance of a tie. 3 points for right team and pick. 2 points for right pick for a team but wrong place. 1 point for being within one pick of the right spot for that player. Calling any trade right 5 points.

  6. Yeah that is an option, up the amount of points you get so we will have a clear winner. I like it. But is another year until that happens, I hope we have a season before then.

  8. Been living in a hole Jazzy haha, At the end of last year Xanders or Ellis applied to the NFL to allow the orange jerseys to be the primary ones for 2012. I believe that will be approved soon. But that is way Fox says bank on it.

Anyway going to be awesome! Bring back the orange crush!!!

  9. i know they applied for it, but i never heard of any final say, and if coach says bank on it, then its good as done for me.

I remember signing the petition. Wonder if that helped play a part.

  10. That would be SWEET to have the orange jerseys return for our home games. Definitely could use the 'Orange Crush' inspiration on this team. Plus, Tebow looks extra good in the orange. ahaha

I can only hope that petition played a part in bringing the jerseys back. I know a lot of people got to sign it when I put it up on DB. Had I not, no one would have known about it. I can't even remember how I found it. lol I'll take coach's word for it too.

I will have my article on Von Miller up real soon.

  11. Sure Jazzy I think it is a sure bet. And the reason they applied for it in the first place is because so many fans wanted it back, us included.

Princess, Tebow looks good in anything :P haha

And awesome on the Miller article, I have been working on the Irving one. If you need pictures or anything I can hook you up.
