2012 NFL Draft - Day 1 - Round 1

It has finally arrived the first day of the 2012 NFL Draft. If you are like me you have no idea what is going to happen, who is going where and what to expect. This draft I think will be one that will be remembered for a long time. Here is the perfect place to discuss the picks, trades and everything involved in the draft tomorrow. I should be on for the large part of the first round and be hopefully joined by our band of merry Bronco followers. Let's go get some new Broncos!

Also if you haven't already you have until the Colts come on the clock tomorrow to submit/change your entries for the Broncos Blog Draft Competition. You can submit your entries here. I will place a 'closed' message on the post when the draft begins. Good luck and enjoy tomorrow ~ Aussie.

  7. Richardson pick number 3, whatever the Vikings did to scare them to move up worked. Great move by the Vikings.

  8. Personally I think it was a dumb move by the Browns. I don't think the Bucs wanted Richardson and the Vikings scared them into moving. That is why the Browns always suck.

  9. they had 13 picks, might as well make sure that the bucs didnt trade with the vikings to take their man

  10. Jags trade up, they want blackmon!

  11. Matt Kalil is the pick, solid choice.

  12. Cowboys trade with the Rams. Do they want Barron or Caliborne?

  13. Blackmon is the Jags pick, but who will the boys take?

  14. Panthers take Luke Kuechly, wow. I like the pick but never say that coming. What about Beason?

  15. Bills take Stephon Gilmore, bugger it.

  16. Ok what I miss. The Chiefs took Poe, I thought this was odd for them, they always take Linemen and they always struggle.

    Eagles took Cox. Good pick.

Cards took Floyd. More weapons for Kolb, Fitz will be happy.

Brockers to the Rams is a solid pick.

Hawks take Irvin, now that is a surprise pick.

Jets take Coples, guess they didn't want Jones.

    Benegals take Kirkpatrick.

  19. Ingram goes to the Chargers. This is a good pick for them, our OL better be up to their pass rush.

  20. Yeah he is almost a Miller clone.

  21. Bears take McClellin. Pats move from 27 to 21.

  22. Kendall Wright to the Titans

  24. Ok lets catch up on what I missed. The Patriots traded up and selected Jones.

    The Browns selected Weeden, shock.

Lions took Riley and the steelers than took DeCastro.

Since the Steelers didn't take Hightower the Patriots traded with us to get him and now have a monster defense (I hope this doesn't bit us in the bum in the superbowl). WE got pick 31 and 126.

The Texans than took Mercilus. The Benegals took guard Zeitler. Nick Perry went to the Pack.

The Vikings traded with the Ravens for Harrison Smith. AJ Jenkins a surprise WR went to the 49ers.

Then we traded 31 to the Bucs who took Doug Martin, showing how much we thought of him. We got 36 and 101 picks in return.

The Bucs must have had to skip ahead of the Giants to get an RB as they took Wilson at the next pick.

  25. We now have 8 picks. 36, 57, 87, 101, 108, 120, 137, 188. With Stephen Hill, Devon Still, Jerel Worthy, Alshon Jeffery and a host of other names still available we could trade down from 36 again!
