ReplyDeletei am not a big fan of yahoo leagues. I cant stand that they make you pay for the stat tracker. If you create another league on nfl.com, cbssports, or espn, then I will join. I would REALLY like to do a keeper league. Let me know if you can create a keeper league and then we can play from season to season.

ReplyDeleteit tells you how the score and stats of your game/team as the points get scored. Its free on pretty much every other site. But on Yahoo, you have to wait till the next day to find out what the score is in your matchup
ReplyDeletei just double checked it and it turns out so many people stopped using yahoo, that by "popular demand", go figure, they are making it free this year. But regardless, let me know about finding a good keeper league, i would be totally up for that!

ReplyDeleteA keeper league is a league that lasts more than one year, and after the first draft, the each player gets to keep 2 or 3 players on their team from the previous season, but in turn give up the pick in which you drafted that player the previous year. So for instance if last year I drafted Chris Johnson in the 12th round, and I chose to keep him for the following season, I could keep him and forfeit my 12th round selection this year. Make since? It is fun so that you can stay with the same people in your league over a long period of time and it kinda adds fun to the strategy of the game.

Jazzy, I can make you the league owner if you want to? I don't really want to have to set the pints and stuff.
ReplyDeleteKeeper leagues I think are meant to have the same owners, but if an owner doesnt want to keep their team, they can hand it over to someone else. So that would be the only way new people could join on following seasons, but I like the idea of continuing to play with the same people. If you want to have more people then you can start another league the next year for them and continue on in the keeper league. i have never done one, but i read about them alot and it sounds like a lot of fun.

If I can get it just right, then I will join you all in this league, if not, I will look for a different site to start one on and let you guys join that one instead. Will that work?

ReplyDeleteok, I think we are set, we just need more players now. If anyone wants to invite people feel free. But let them know that we would like them to commit to playing at least 2 seasons here just to make it fun. I edited the scoring values. Tell me what you all think..... It is a PPR league, which is also new to me, meaning that players get "Points Per Reception" So running backs and receivers who catch a lot of passes have more value.

ReplyDeletenot I, I think the titans win. Better coaching, better depth. However, I you never know preseason. Most teams will hardly use the starters. Maybe for a couple series for the first preseason game.

ReplyDeleteusually the team with the better depth and backups win the preseason games. Usually those teams play better at the end of the season as well. Tennessee played better all around last year, and they have most of the same core minus haynesworth. So I still say titans, by a fg or so.
